The Ananse Heritage Project is a dynamic and multi-faceted initiative by Parables Studio, dedicated to the preservation, modernization, and global promotion of Ghanaian Ananse folklore.

Ananse, is far more than a character; he is a foundational figure in Akan oral tradition, embodying wit, wisdom, resilience, and intellectual ingenuity. This project is a deliberate and strategic effort to bridge the gap between this rich cultural legacy and a new generation of Ghanaians and a global audience. The initiative will achieve this by transforming traditional storytelling into engaging, contemporary media forms, including animation, theatre, and digital content.

Our ultimate goal is to re-establish Ananse as a relevant and inspiring symbol of Ghanaian culture in the 21st century. The project is expected to boost the creative industry, create jobs, and promote cultural tourism through it's four major implementing wings...

The project has received endorsement from the Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, National Commission on Culture, National Folklore Board and National film Authority, recognizing its significance in shaping Ghana's cultural and creative landscape. Hon. Dzifa Gomashie, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, praises the project: "A timely initiative that showcases Ghana's rich cultural heritage and promotes creative expression.
