USING ANIMATION TO TELL AFRICAN STORIES

As part of the efforts of the Pan African Writers Association (PAWA) to enlarge the scope of its members, Dr Wale Okediran, the PAWA Secretary General (Middle in above picture) recently visited the Parables Animation Studios (PAS) in Accra, Ghana where he held discussions with the MD, Cycil Jones Abban ( Left) the project manager and acting Chief Operating Officer, Albert Tetteh Amafu ( Right) and other staff of the company. The discussions centred on how PAWA and PAS can collaborate on the use of advanced forms of communication such as Animation to tell African stories.

PAS will be celebrating the 8th year anniversary of its show, ANANSE LIVE ON STAGE at the Silver Bird Cinemas, Accra, Ghana on Monday, 26th December 2022. "We want to expose our young audience to the much needed authentic and super rich Ghanaian animation entertainment. Something that is culturally relevant and easy to relate to. Indirectly, we are rebuilding the culture and love for theatre attendance in the children." says Cycil Abban,

Producer of Ananse Live On Stage.
